Who is behind Holly?
Holly is built in London by Paul Gould and a small founder-led team. Paul has spent more than 25 years running small businesses. He started Holly because HR software for small teams had become too complicated, too expensive and too hard to leave.
What support do I get?
Free includes the help centre and email support. Standard adds priority support, and Plus will include it when it launches. We aim to reply within one UK business day during UK support hours.
What’s included in each plan?
Free includes everyday HR for up to 10 people. Standard covers any team size and adds priority support, a custom domain and more control over integrations. Plus is coming soon; when it launches, it will add rotas, expenses, hiring, training management, performance, safety, surveys, employee relations and benefit administration.
Can I move data in and out?
Yes. Import people from CSV or Excel, then export your organisation data and eligible files yourself without opening a support ticket.
How is employee data protected?
Access is checked against your organisation and each user’s permissions. Documents use private links. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with extra encryption for selected sensitive fields. Sensitive actions leave audit records.
Where is employee data stored?
Your main HR records and the app run in the EU. Uploaded documents and database backups are stored in AWS London.
How does Holly support UK GDPR?
Permissions, audit records, a DPA, a public sub-processor register, export, DSAR and erasure routes are part of the service. You stay in control of lawful basis and retention.
